Notes from the Underground: Edwardsville, PA

Yesterday I spent a spooky Halloween knocking on doors in the post-industrial wasteland of Edwardsville PA, a small suburb of Wilkes-Barre.
I'm here to tell you: It looks good. Even in such a socially conservative area, I got a lot positive responses. Only a couple of people said no, and out of the twenty or so cars that beeped at us, only a couple gave us the finger.
Turns out, people care more about affording health care than about whether gay people can marry. I think I'm starting to regain faith in the American people.
