UPDATE 8: "Go Fuck Yourself, Mr. Cheney!" - Catch-phrase of 2005?

Thu Sep 08, 2005 at 09:34:41 AM PDT

UPDATE 8: Just got word that Jon Stewart aired the clip! Please fill me in -- (I'm on the West coast)

We've got the Washington Post on board now, uncensored even:
>SHOUTED INSULTS

While he was speaking, a young man shouted an obscenity at the vice-president, saying "Go fuck yourself, Mr Cheney" in an outburst that reflected frayed tempers and patience in the stricken region.

Keith Olberman, as I've been told by Cisco Pike, has just covered this story:
A Mississippi man greeted the V.P. with less than the usual Southern hospitality.

Story #3 "Cussin' Karma"

KO: The usual degree of filtering for Mr. Cheney's audience was apparently not available.

(Played Video)

KO: Friend of Pat Leahy. Who could he have meant? John Roberts? John Bolton? John Travolta? The other John Roberts from ABC(?)?
FOX News (click video) has posted the whole video of Cheney's news gaggle, BUT HAS EDITED THE SHOUTING SEGMENT COMPLETELY OUT AT 7:18.

It is now a story in itself at AFP (please freep it!).

(original story below the fold)
It is also a Top Video Story at CBS News.

CNN (who was showing it live) has also done a story on it.
Cafferty: "Didn't he say that to Patrick Leahy on the Senate floor?"

Blitzer: "Yes."

C: "So how could this have been the first time he heard it?"

B: "First time he heard it in this area."

C: "I'm sure it won't be the last."

Vive, The Rude Awakening Movement!!

It's in a CNN.com story as well HERE and at the Los Angeles Times HERE..

I'm not kidding you.  In Mississippi, during a press conference, after telling the press that what needs to be done, gets done.  A resident walked up to the gaggle and said this:

"Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney!!  Go fuck yourself!!!

Cheney looked pissed.  Really pissed.

A reporter then asked him, "Do you get that a lot, Mr. Cheney?"

He replied, "That's the first time I've heard it. Must be a friend of John er.. uh.. never mind."

It sounded as though he was pushed away (probably by the secret service). CNN would not show this guy.

Is this a sign? Are we starting to hear the people revolt? I am thinking about this spontaneous event and I'm thinking that this moment should be repeated many, many times!!! Shall we call this...

THE RUDE AWAKENING MOVEMENT?

Oh, and here's The Vice President's email: vice_president@whitehouse.gov

This is it, guys!!! This is the rallying cry!!!

We are going to hear this on the news -- over and over again! It is a pivotal moment in this story!!!

IT'S BRILLIANT!!!

And if we don't hear it this time, there's THOUSANDS of us that can repeat this rallying cry whenever we see a news camera!!! Let's make it the catchphrase of 2005!!! Remember, "Where's the beef?!"?(and you don't need the VP to be there, BTW.)

1. News Camera with Journalist - Check.

2. Live broadcast - Check.

3. "Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney!"

4. Repeat

Altogether now:

Go Fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney!"

"Go fuck yourself, Mr. Bush!"

Go fuck yourself!!

Go fuck yourself!!

GO FUCK YOURSELF!!
